RECENT NEWS - JULY 2023
Tracey Walker recently held her annual summer camp for children age 4 - 11 years. the children attended the camp from 10:00- 15:00 Monday- Friday learning a variety of different dance styles including BALLET, CONTEMPORARY, HIP HOP AND MUSICAL THEATRE. They all smashed it and learnt so many new skills! it was such a fun packed week!
Tracey and Milly were so proud of all of the children that attended the summer camp, however they really felt one child shone in all three aspects of performing (Singing, Acting and Dancing) so they decided to award AMBER LONG a musical theatre scholarship to attend TWSOD in September. Huge congrats Amber and welcome to the TWSOD family!
HUGE SHOUTOUT TO PRINCIPAL TRACEY WALKER:
Tracey recently decided to conquer the Macmillan cancer support HULA HOOP Challenge, this was hula hooping for 15 minutes per day for the whole month of July! Tracey got everyone involved including all the students at the dance school and managed to raise a whopping £1116 for the charity! Huge well done Tracey, we couldn't be more proud of you for raising money for such an amazing charity!
BATD SCHOLARSHIP NEWS
BATD BALLET JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIPS
We are thrilled to say that we received a letter from the BATD nominating 6 of our talented students to attend the Junior BATD Annual Scholarships 2023.
This is the most prestigious event that BATD holds every year as nominees are carefully selected as the top BATD ballet dancers in the UK. They are selected from their recent ballet exams, if the examiner thought they achieved higher than top marks. The purpose of the Scholarships is to promote talented students of BATD affiliated members. It is mandatory that any student nominated will have been trained in the branch of dance for which they have been nominated within a BATD dance school.
The students selected will travel to Glasgow to attend a large ballet class with the other selected students from across the UK, at the end of the class the winning student will receive a large sum of money to put towards their training at their BATD school.
BEST OF LUCK GIRLS, WE COULDN'T BE MORE PROUD!

The students smashed it and it was a fun filled day!
